Algebra is the bane of my existence, and has been since 9th grade! I had to take remedial Algebra four times before I passed it to get in to regular Algebra and this was about five years ago. Seriously, this is true and I have witnesses. I'm pretty sure the only reason I passed the fourth time was I begged for mercy, and I do mean begged! Well its time for me to take the Algebra I class so that I can get in to a Statistics class (which I will no doubt pass with flying colors) but the Algebra, well I am not exaggerating when I say just the thought of it sends shivers up my spine.
What to do? What to do? Well as luck would have it I was on vacation last week listening to NPR and there was a discussion about Khan Academy. What piqued my interest was Khan Academy was helping students with Algebra. Hey I'm a student and I surely need help. So I log on to www.khanacademy.org to see whats up. EUREKA!
Not only were there a zillion videos on Algebra but a zillion more on a boat load of other topics as well -- on just about anything you want to know. Financial planning, the financial collapse, history - you name it.
They weren't kidding when they called it "Academy!" Its free and you can learn just about anything.
A must, must, must check it out site!
